  • The SURP supports ongoing scholarly and creative activities that exemplify learning while doing, where undergraduate students are actively engaged in discovery with a faculty mentor during the summer. Funding is from the Brockport College Foundation. The program provides weekly professional workshops and opportunities to present and share results from the summer.

  • There are three parts to the application:

    ● The first part (this form) is to be written by the student applicant. This must be in the student’s words, and should involve a collaborative effort between the student and faculty mentor. Due date: Thursday, February 23, 2023.

    ● The second part will be written by the faculty mentor. Due date: Friday, February 24, 2023.

    ● The third part will be a 20 minute interview by the ranking committee. During this interview the student applicant will be asked about the project and the potential impact this experience will have on their future goals.

    (Interviews are scheduled over several days - February 27, 28, March 1.)

  • SURP 2023 Orientation Meeting (Save-the-date)

    Once selected for the program, student interns and faculty mentors will attend a one hour mandatory meeting. Two meetings are scheduled to accommodate your schedule. Monday, April 24 or Tuesday, April 25 from 2:00-3:00pm, location-tbd.
