Student Conduct Board Application

The Conduct Board is responsible for hearing cases of students charged with potentially violating the College at Brockport's Code of Student Conduct. Each Conduct Board consists of at least three thoroughly trained members drawn from the pool of faculty, staff and students. Upon review of a case, the board makes a determination as to whether or not a policy violation occurred and recommends sanctions to the Student Conduct Coordinator. Sanctions range from an Official Warning up to and including Dismissal from the College. This is a volunteer position with a time commitment of approximately 4-10 hours a month.

Eligibility requirements:
1. Be in good academic and disciplinary standing. By applying for the Conduct Board you are granting permission to do a conduct check. Any applicants currently on probation or with significant conduct history may not be able to participate in the Conduct Board.
2. Have a minimum of 24 college credit hours completed by the end of the spring 2015 semester. Students below 24 credit hours are welcome to participate in training in preparation for being on a board.
3. Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5 and a semester GPA of at least a 2.0.

Time Commitment:
Board members serve a minimum of one (1) year term and in addition to required training's they are expected to arrange their schedule to be available to serve on a hearing board approximately once a month. Most hearings last between 1.5 to 4 hours.
