Conduct Board - Faculty/Staff Sign Up 2016-2017
The Conduct Hearing Board is responsible for hearing cases of students charged with potentially violating the College at Brockport's Code of Student Conduct. Each Conduct Hearing Board consists of at least three thoroughly trained members drawn from a pool of faculty, staff and students. Upon review of a case, the board makes a determination as to whether or not a policy violation has occurred and recommends sanctions. Sanctions range from an Official Warning up to and including Dismissal from the College. This is a volunteer position. All faculty and staff are eligible to apply.
Time Commitment: Board members serve a minimum of one (1) year term and attend the Student Conduct Hearing Board training. Many Conduct Hearing Boards last between 1.5 and 4 hours. Between hearings and trainings, the monthly time commitment may be between 4 to 7 hours (depending on the amount of Conduct Hearing Board cases).
