PED GRANT APPLICATION

PED Grant Application, The Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion

  • Dear Applicant,

    Thank you for your valuable time and your interest in applying for the Promoting Excellence in Diversity
    Grant (PED Grant). The PED Grant Program is funded by the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and administered by the PED Grant Committee.

    Please review PED Grant Guidelines and the selection rubric in the application system.

  • PED Grant Guidelines For Spring 2025

    The PED Grant supports eligible proposals from faculty and staff for scholarly and artistic events that positively contribute to the College’s mission of promoting diversity, inclusion, and educational excellence.

    The PED Grant application MUST address how the proposed program or event:
    * Engages members of our college community in meaningful dialogue about issues of diversity, equity and inclusion
    * Supports the College’s mission to prepare students for leadership in a world of diverse people and experiences, 
    * Promotes a college community of respect and understanding of diverse populations,
    *Includes one or more of the Strategic Plan Goal(s) for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

    The PED Grant application MUST demonstrate that the proposed activity/event:
    * Is open to Brockport faculty, staff and students.
    * Includes an assessment plan including the standard PED evaluation form designed to clearly measure the event impacts on the community.

    The maximum award through this program is $1,000. Smaller requests are strongly encouraged.

  • Post-Event Survey

    A post-event survey must be completed with a summary of the actual event expenses. You will be required to prepare and complete the post-event survey within two weeks of the event.

    Please visit the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion's website the post-event survey.

    Describe in detail the proposed event (who, what, when, where, why, how). Please review the "Significance & Relevance to the Campus Community" statement below and include the requested information in your grant proposal. The entire proposal should not exceed three pages, excluding attachments.

    • Provides a major forum for intellectual activities that engages our College and surrounding communities in dialogue about topics of diversity, equity and inclusion in global societies,
    • Affirms the College’s commitment to preparing our students for leadership in a world of diverse people and experiences,
    • Promotes our campus as a community of respect and understanding for differences based upon knowledge and shared experiences,
    • The Program/Event be assessed to determine the impact on the participants/college community, and
    •Includes one or more of the Strategic Plan Goal(s) for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
