Transgender Awareness Week Media Challenge

Each year between November 13 – 19, people and organizations around the country participate in Transgender Awareness Week to help raise the visibility of transgender people and address issues members of the community face.

The week before Transgender Day of Remembrance on November 20, people and organizations around the country participate in Transgender Awareness Week to help raise the visibility of transgender people and address issues the community faces.

Prevention & Outreach Services, the Center for Select Respect, and the Center for Women and Gender are sponsoring a week-long media challenge for members of the greater SUNY Brockport community to participate in. Each day, participants will receive a variety of current news articles, peer-reviewed research, documentary options, and other forms of popular media to help raise awareness about issues faces by the trans* and gender non-binary community.
