Purpose:
This is a competitive grant program designed to support students who are presenting work at an academic conference.

Eligibility
All matriculated and enrolled Brockport students—undergraduate and graduate-level, full- and part-time—are eligible to apply for funds. Students must attend the conference between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022. Maximum of two one travel grant awards of any kind per student during a given academic year. The total allotted cannot exceed $400 for an academic year.

Eligible Expenses
Student conference travel and related costs (food, lodging, registration fees and project preparation costs) are eligible for support.

Submission Process
For individual student applicants, the faculty/staff advisor will submit the application after reviewing and signing it electronically.
E-mailed applications will not be accepted.

Amount
The grant provides a maximum of $400 per student.
Due to limited funds, we may not be able to honor all requests for support.

Review Process
Grant applications are processed by staff in the Scholar & Grants Development Office. It may take up to 4 weeks after the deadline for the applications to be reviewed by faculty and staff.

Summary Report
Grant payments will be made only after the student awardee submits a summary report of his/her conference experience and it has been approved. A link to the reporting form will be provided in the award letter.

Reimbursement Process
Students must submit original receipts for eligible expenses to the Scholar & Grants Development Office. The award letter will contain more specific instructions.
Do not submit receipts with your application.

Proposal Due Dates:
Proposals will be accepted until the deadlines listed below. Early applications are encouraged.
• Fall deadline - November 1, 2021 at 5:00 pm
• Spring deadline - February 15, 2022 at 5:00 pm
Please note: Applications can be submitted after the conference has occurred, but there is no guarantee that you will receive an award. All applications must be submitted by the spring deadline.
