  • Purpose:

    This is a competitive grant program designed to support students who are active members of BSG clubs at The College at Brockport to attend a conference that will support their role in the club.

  • Eligibility

    All matriculated and enrolled Brockport students who are current and active members of a BSG club—undergraduate and graduate-level, full- and part-time—are eligible to apply for funds. Students must attend the conference between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022. Maximum of two travel grant awards of any kind per student during a given academic year. The total allotted cannot exceed $400 for an academic year.

  • Eligible Expenses

    Student conference related costs (registration fees and display materials) are eligible for support.

  • Submission Process

    For individual student applicants, the faculty/staff advisor will submit the application after reviewing and signing it electronically.

    E-mailed applications will not be accepted.

  • Amount

    The grant provides a maximum of $400 per student.

  • Review Process

    Grant applications are reviewed by staff in the Scholar & Grants Development Office. It may take up to 4 weeks after the deadline for the applications to be reviewed and for notification to occur.

  • Summary Report

    Reimbursements will be made only after the student awardee submits a summary report of his/her conference experience and it has been approved. A link to the reporting form will be provided in the award e-letter.

  • Reimbursement Process

    Students must submit receipts for eligible expenses. For shared charges, please submit a copy of the receipt with your individual charge clearly identified. Your award e-letter and our website contain more specific instructions.

    Do not submit receipts with your application.

  • Proposal Due Dates:

    Proposals will be accepted until the deadlines listed below. Early applications are encouraged.

    • Fall deadline - November 1, 2021 at 5:00 pm
    • Spring deadline - February 15, 2022 at 5:00 pm

    Please note: Applications can be submitted after the conference has occurred, but there is no guarantee that you will receive an award. All applications must be submitted by the Spring deadline.
