2020 Commencement Volunteer Sign-up

Volunteering for Commencement is a great way to get involved in the College's signature event! If you would like to volunteer, please submit this form by Friday, May 8.

Volunteer training is on Wednesday, May 13 from 11:15 am - 12:15 pm in B300 Tuttle North. Please add this to your calendar!

    If you can volunteer all day on Saturday, check both the Morning and Afternoon Ceremony boxes. You will be able to take a one-hour break in between ceremonies.

  • Volunteer Job Assignment

    Note: We will take your job choices into consideration, but we may not be able to honor all requests.

    Job Descriptions:

    Greeter - Welcomes guests, encourages them to take a seat in the Field House (keeps traffic flow moving) and is a resource for directions and event questions.

    Faculty Lineup Coordinator - Organize faculty into lines in the proper order, count attendance and report information to Commencement coordinator.

    Mobility-Impaired Dropoff/Pickup Attendant - Maintains proper traffic flow in the loop so mobility-impaired guests can be dropped off quickly and efficiently. Assists guests as needed.

    Parking Lot Attendant - Directs guests to their parking space in a systematic manner. Assists guests needing a handicapped parking space and verifies possession of appropriate placard/documentation.

    Program Distributor - Gives one program to each party and communicates seating instructions and other information as provided to you.

    Student Lineup Coordinator - Organize students into lines in the proper order and groups, and maintain orderly procession and seating.

    Ticket Scanner - Monitor doors into Field House and collect each attendee's ticket and scan it. Prevent guests without a ticket from entering the venue. Direct guests without tickets to the viewing location in the Vlogianitis Gym in Tuttle. (Undergraduate only.)

    Usher - Assists guests with finding seats in a systematic manner and makes seating arrangements for guests with mobility impairments, wheelchairs, etc.

    All jobs require helping with cleanup during and after the reception.
